Quality Education

Higher Education

The costs of college have skyrocketed, doubling over the past 15 years.

To increase higher education access, Texas must build a pipeline across our educational and workforce systems to prepare Texans for the jobs of tomorrow.

College Affordability

College students now regularly face choices between taking on greater amounts of debt, working longer hours in part-time jobs, or going without food, books or housing to cover their growing college costs and living expenses to complete their education.

Access

Low-income working adults in Texas face significant barriers to moving into higher skilled jobs that pay a family-supporting wage.

Nontraditional Students

The high cost of postsecondary education and dwindling financial aid makes it hard for so-called non-traditional students such as part-time and financially independent students to afford a postsecondary education..

Texas must pick up the PACE for equity in college access, affordability completion and supports.

Texas Postsecondary Advocates Coalition for Equity (PACE)

Texas PACE consists of organizations from across Texas focused on improving equity in college access, affordability, completion, and student supports. We urge state leaders to collaborate on policies that will ensure Texas postsecondary students can move through the COVID-19 pandemic into a future of prosperity.
