About Amanda González

Amanda D. González joined the Center in 2018. She utilizes social media strategies and creative software to highlight CPPP’s research and engage with the Texas community. During the 85th Texas Legislature, González served as a legislative intern for State Rep. Sergio Muñoz, Jr., who represents her hometown of Pharr, Texas. She also gained multimedia skills and bipartisan messaging experience as a digital communications assistant at the Mexican American Legislative Caucus of the Texas House of Representatives, which is the oldest and largest Latino caucus in the nation. González worked as a student journalist at her collegiate newspaper/online publication, Hilltop Views, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, Rhetoric and Writing with a specialization in Journalism and Digital Media and a minor in Spanish from St. Edward’s University.
