“A Fighting Chance” Is Now Online

Last week, our documentary “A Fighting Chance” aired on KLRU-Austin PBS, followed by a moving Civic Summit panel discussion about the struggles Texas families face just to meet their basic needs.

The full 26-minute documentary is now live on our YouTube channel, and you watch the Civic Summit on KLRU’s website. We want to thank KLRU, Alpheus Media, and all the organizations we partnered with to make this film happen.

We ask that you watch this and share it with your family, friends, and neighbors. The conversation about what it really takes all Texas families to make ends meet in our state can’t and won’t stop here.

In 2013, we will take the documentary and hit the road—THE ROAD TO A BETTER TEXAS—sharing these families’ stories with many more Texans. Together, we’ll ensure that every Texan—regardless of income or zip code—has a fighting chance to realize their full potential, pursue their biggest dreams, and to live a better life.

CPPP is an independent public policy organization that uses data and analysis to advocate for solutions that enable Texans of all backgrounds to reach their full potential. We dare Texas to be the best state for hard-working people and their families.
